The fine print,
in plain language.

How FindTxOpps works, what we collect, what we promise and what we don't. The same policies cover the whole site — browsing, searching, and contacting us. If anything here disagrees with an official funding notice, the official notice controls. Each section below is written to be read, not skimmed past.

These pages reflect the services enabled at launch. Have an attorney review before wide promotion, and update the advertising disclosure before enabling ads.

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 24, 2026 · Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. Who we are. FindTxOpps is operated by J9 Ventures LLC ("we", "us"). FindTxOpps gathers grants and funding opportunities available to Texans into one searchable database, presents them in plain language, and always links back to the official notice.
2. Official notices govern. FindTxOpps is designed to connect opportunity listings to the official or authoritative source whenever available. The funding organization’s official notice and application materials govern the opportunity. If information displayed on FindTxOpps differs from the official source, rely on the official source. Funding information can change, and we do not guarantee that listings are complete, current, or error-free. Always verify eligibility, deadlines, funding amounts, requirements, and application instructions before acting.
3. Free to search. Searching, browsing and viewing every opportunity and official link on FindTxOpps is free and requires no account.
4. We are not the funder. FindTxOpps does not award grants, accept applications, determine eligibility, or make funding decisions. Applications are completed directly with the government agency, foundation, company, or organization offering the funding.
5. The update list. If you join the update list, we will send occasional emails about new FindTxOpps features and opportunity types. You can unsubscribe at any time; unsubscribing has no effect on your ability to use the site.
6. Acceptable use. You may not use automated systems to access, extract, copy, reproduce, republish, or systematically collect FindTxOpps content in a manner that places unreasonable load on the service, circumvents technical controls, or creates a competing database or service, except as permitted by applicable law or with our written permission. Do not misrepresent FindTxOpps content as an official government notice or use the service to violate any law or funding-program rule.
7. Disclaimers and liability. The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, J9 Ventures LLC is not liable for missed deadlines, lost awards, or decisions made in reliance on listings. Use of FindTxOpps and reliance on information displayed through the service is at your own risk. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or grant-writing advice.
8. Changes and contact. We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Questions: contact us or email info@findtxopps.com.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026 · Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. Information we collect. Collected automatically: when you use FindTxOpps, certain technical information may be collected automatically, such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and information necessary to operate, secure, and understand use of the service. Provided by you: if you join the update list, we collect the email address you provide; if you contact us, we collect the information you include in your message. Searching never requires an account, and we never ask for Social Security numbers, banking information or government IDs to use this site.
2. What we use it for. We use this information to operate the site, answer your messages, send the updates you asked for, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Separate consents. Contacting us and joining the update list are separate choices — sending a message does not subscribe you to email.
4. Who processes your data. Our hosting and database providers store site data; our email provider delivers update emails. We share data with these processors only as needed to run the service.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising. FindTxOpps uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic (pages visited, approximate location, and how visitors found the site). Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, which we configure to be anonymized; we do not use this data to identify individuals. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our hosting provider (Netlify) and database provider (Supabase) may log technical request data (such as IP address) to operate and secure the service, and form submissions are processed by our hosting provider. If advertising (such as Google AdSense) begins serving on this site, this section and any required consent mechanism will be updated before ads go live.
6. Your choices. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each message, and you may request a copy or deletion of information you've sent us by contacting info@findtxopps.com.
7. Security and retention. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and restrict access to stored data. We keep contact messages and list subscriptions only as long as needed for the purposes above. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Changes and contact. Material changes to this policy will be noted here with a new date. See also the Terms of Service.

Disclaimer

Independent service. FindTxOpps is an independent funding-opportunity discovery service. It is not a government agency, not a funder, and not affiliated with Grants.gov, any Texas agency, or any funding organization merely because an opportunity is listed here.
No guarantees. We do not award grants, approve applications, determine final eligibility, or guarantee funding. Saying an opportunity "may be a match" is never a promise that you qualify — the funding organization makes every eligibility and award decision.
Information changes. Deadlines are extended, amounts change, requirements are updated, and programs close or reopen without notice to us. Always review the official funding notice and application instructions before applying.
Third-party sites. Official links take you to sites we do not control and are not responsible for.
Stay scam-aware. Be cautious of anyone who guarantees that you will receive grant funding, asks for unexpected payment in exchange for an award, requests sensitive financial information through an unverified channel, or pressures you to act immediately. Verify the funding organization and application process using official sources before providing money or sensitive information, and report suspicious listings.
Not advice. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax or grant-writing advice.

Accessibility

Our commitment. Funding information should be usable by every Texan. We work to make FindTxOpps accessible to people with disabilities and aim to improve the service in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA — readable type, strong color contrast, keyboard-reachable controls and descriptive labels.
Ongoing work. Accessibility is continuous. As we add features we review them for keyboard access, screen-reader labeling and motion sensitivity (animations respect your reduced-motion setting).
Tell us what's in the way. If any part of this site is difficult to use with assistive technology, contact us or email info@findtxopps.com and we will work to fix it and to provide the information you need in a usable form.
